Terms of Use
The terms for using this website.

About these terms
These terms explain the rules for using our public website, in-depth.io. Please read them. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
These terms cover the public website only. They do not cover the IN DEPTH platform at app.in-depth.io or at client addresses under in-depth.io. The platform is governed by the access agreement each admitted organisation signs with us before any sign-in details are issued. If there is any conflict between these terms and an access agreement, the access agreement applies to the platform.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and our Cookie Policy explains our approach to cookies.
Who we are
The site is run by IN DEPTH INTELLIGENCE LTD ("IN DEPTH", "we", "us"), a private company limited by shares registered in England and Wales with company number 17342348. Our registered office is 38 Church Road, Abbots Leigh, Bristol BS8 3QP, United Kingdom. You can contact us at apply@in-depth.io.
The site is information, not an offer
The site tells you about IN DEPTH and how to apply. Nothing on it is an offer to supply anything to you.
- Admission to IN DEPTH is by application only. There is no self-serve sign-up and no way to buy access on the site.
- Any rates or prices we publish are for information. They are never an offer capable of acceptance, and they may change.
- Nothing is payable by anyone unless an organisation has been accepted, has signed an access agreement and then decides to stay under the terms of that agreement.
Only a signed access agreement creates a contract for the platform. Descriptions of the platform on the site are a general guide. What an organisation receives is set out in its agreement.
Our content and our name
We, or the people who license material to us, own the intellectual property in the site. That includes its text, design, graphics and the way it is arranged, the IN DEPTH name and marks and the names of our streams, BREACH, SPLASH and UNDERCURRENT.
You are welcome to view the site, print or save a page for your own reference and share links to it. You must not copy, republish or sell our content. Nor may you use our name, marks or stream names in a way that suggests a connection with us or our endorsement, without our written permission. If you would like to use our material in another way, please ask us.
Acceptable use
Please use the site lawfully and with respect for others. You must not:
- scrape, crawl or copy the site or its content at scale by automated means, other than through ordinary search engine indexing;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the site, our platform, our servers or any system connected to them;
- attack the site, for example by introducing viruses or other harmful code or by trying to overload it;
- misuse the application form, for example by sending spam, automated submissions or unrelated messages;
- submit an application that is false or misleading;
- use someone else's identity when applying or claim to act for an organisation you do not represent;
- use the site in any way that breaks the law or harms anyone.
We may block access to the site and report the matter to the relevant authorities, where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken.
Applying to IN DEPTH
When you apply through the site, we use what you tell us to assess whether your organisation is a fit. As the form explains, we also research the applying organisation against the public record, such as its website, public filings, news and public professional profiles. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why and how long we keep it.
Submitting an application does not create any agreement between you and us, and it does not oblige either of us to go further.
Every decision is made by a person, against our published Standard. You can read it at The Standard. If we decline an application, the decision is tied to a named test of the Standard. We aim to decide within five working days.
Please make sure what you tell us is accurate and that you are entitled to apply for the organisation you name.
Links to other sites
The site may link to websites run by others. We include these for your convenience only. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content or for how they handle your data. A link is not an endorsement.
Availability and changes to the site
We provide the site at no cost and we cannot promise it will always be available or free of interruptions. We may update, change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time, for example for maintenance or for business reasons.
We take reasonable care to keep the site accurate and up to date, but the content is for general information only. It is not advice and you should not rely on it as such. We do not promise that the site is free of errors or that it will be free of viruses, so please use your own protective software.
Our responsibility to you
What we never exclude
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies.
If you are a consumer
If you use the site as an individual for purposes outside your trade, business or profession, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or of our failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it is obvious it will happen or if both of us knew it might happen when you used the site. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable. The site is provided for private, domestic use and information only, so we are not liable to you for any loss of profit, business, business opportunity or revenue.
If you use the site for business
If you use the site in the course of a business, we exclude, to the fullest extent the law allows, all conditions, warranties and other terms that might otherwise be implied about the site or its content. We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or your reliance on its content. In particular, we will not be liable for loss of profits, sales, business or revenue, business interruption, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation. Nor will we be liable for any indirect or consequential loss.
None of this affects any agreement you may later sign with us for the platform. That agreement sets out the responsibilities that apply there.
Governing law and disputes
These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of the site are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, in the EU or in the EEA, you keep the protection of any mandatory rules of the law of the country where you live, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of that country. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in how we run the site. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. Please check this page when you visit. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
